Cookie Policy
ATTURA.COM is a private, non-commercial photography portfolio. It sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies that can ever appear here belong to Google Analytics, and only if you switch a category on yourself.
1. Nothing is loaded until you decide
When you arrive, no analytics script is downloaded, no cookie is written and nothing is sent to any third party. A notice asks you what you agree to. Decline, Customise and Accept are offered as equivalent choices, in the same size and the same style; nothing is pre-ticked, refusing takes exactly one click just as accepting does, and closing or ignoring the notice is never treated as agreement.
If you decline, or simply do nothing, Google Analytics is never loaded at all — not even in the cookieless form that the technology would allow. There is nothing to opt out of afterwards, because nothing was started.
A refusal is still remembered, but only by your own browser. It is never sent to this site or to anyone else: the answer is written in local storage under attura_consent, with the date, so that you are not asked again on every page. After six months the question comes back. Clearing your browser data erases it, and the notice reappears on your next visit.
2. The categories
Customise lets you accept some things and refuse others. Each category can be switched on by itself:

The last two depend on the first for a technical reason, not a commercial one: without audience measurement the Google Analytics script is never loaded, so there is nothing through which the other events could be sent.
3. What is actually stored
The site itself sets no cookies. The two cookies below are set by Google Analytics, in the first-party domain, and only if you switch audience measurement on.

attura_consent is strictly necessary to honour your own choice and is therefore stored without consent, as permitted by Art. 122(1) of Legislative Decree 196/2003. It is not a cookie: it stays in the browser and is never attached to a request, so no server ever sees it. Whether you accept or refuse, it holds nothing but three on/off flags and a date.
No profiling cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party pixel and no social plugin exists on this site. Advertising storage is refused in every scenario, including after you accept everything.
4. Browser signals
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal — Firefox does this by default in private windows — every optional category starts switched off and stays off. The notice is still shown, so that you can see what the site would like to do and turn something on yourself if you wish; it is never turned on for you.
5. Your choices — change them here
You do not need to wait for the notice to reappear: the same choice is available right here, at any time.

Your browser is sending a “do not track” signal, so every optional category starts switched off. Nothing here is switched on for you.
Switching a category off deletes the corresponding cookies from this browser straight away. Withdrawal is as easy as consent, and it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it. If JavaScript is disabled, no analytics can run at all, so nothing is measured either way.
6. Other ways to refuse
The choice above is the direct one, but it is not the only one:
- every browser can block or delete cookies from its own settings — see the instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge;
- Google's own browser add-on opts you out of Google Analytics on every site you visit, not just this one;
- enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser keeps every optional category switched off here by default.
Blocking cookies changes nothing about how this site looks or works. There is no wall, no reduced version, no reminder.
7. Who receives the data
The only third party is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, acting as data processor. What it does with the data, the transfers to the United States and the safeguards that apply are set out in the Privacy Policy, sections 3 and 4, together with the controller's identity and your rights.
8. Changes
If the cookies change, this page is updated and its version number raised. Where the change concerns something you consented to, you are asked again before anything new happens.
